Start with the MCP setup guide. The hosted connection handles library search, transcripts, summaries, and sessions. To let Rec launch and record a browser, add the local @recapp/mcp recorder with a Rec API key. A client that only supports remote MCP cannot launch the local recorder.

Ask the agent to use the local recorder’s authenticate tool. It opens a visible browser window where you can sign in. The agent continues using that session. If the session expires, sign in again through the same flow.

Yes. The recording link is returned after upload; the agent summary and English voiceover are generated afterward. Clear session notes help the narration explain the flow. Review the processed result before sharing it.

Install the Rec extension from the Chrome Web Store. Open it, choose your tab or screen, and enable your camera or microphone if needed. Your recording uploads to Rec and gets a share link.

Rec does not impose recording time limits or watermarks on the free plan. AI transcription currently covers recordings up to one hour. Views and AI processing use credits.

No account is needed to watch a public share link. You can also embed the player or share recordings through your connected Slack workspace. Viewed minutes use the video owner’s credit pool.

Each workspace gets 30 free credits monthly. Additional credits cost $0.02 each. Each started viewed minute uses one credit, transcription uses one per video minute, and voiceovers or dubs use two per video minute. Paid credits roll over. Recording and seats are free.

Yes. Download recordings from your dashboard, or use the Google Drive integration after connecting it to your workspace.
